Job Description Job Description Actively Seeking Lab Technologist to join medical laboratory in Norcross, GA! Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technologist responsible for performing laboratory testing assigned to the department. The role requires maintaining an in-depth knowledge of all current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to perform effectively. The position involves excellent communication with the department and other Laboratory Services personnel, ensuring the competent performance of all assigned departmental duties. Responsibilities Perform pre-analytical tasks including receipt, qualification, and preparation of samples for testing. Conduct CLIA waived tests and moderate to high complexity testing on patients, donors, or biological products using routine chemistries with automated and semi-automated methods. Recognize and report unusual test results promptly to appropriate management. Operate equipment following established protocols and within quality control limits. Identify equipment malfunctions and technical problems, taking appropriate steps to resolve them. Maintain strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Prepare and maintain reports and records, performing computer data entry. Manage departmental supplies within established inventory levels. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in a Life Sciences discipline. 0-1 year of laboratory experience, either academic or industry-related. Proficiency in laboratory procedures, chemistry, lab equipment, CLIA, and biology. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with medical laboratory practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Work Environment Work in a large, well-lit, clean laboratory environment that fosters a positive working atmosphere. The position operates within a warehouse and laboratory setting. The schedule is Wednesday - Friday nights, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with rotating Saturdays. Training details are to be determined, likely during the day shift. There is an opportunity for employees to convert to a permanent role based on performance, although it is not guaranteed. Performance reviews are conducted every six weeks to provide feedback on contract performance. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Norcross, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
