Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector has a need for a Principal / Senior Principal Electrical Engineer at its Subsystem and Software Sustainment (S&SS) organization in Warner Robins, GA. This engineering position will join our hardware team and be responsible research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and products for defense systems. Our ideal candidate will possess technical expertise and collaborative people skills with the proven ability to work within a technically diverse and fast-paced team. This position is located in Warner Robins, GA Your responsibilities will include:
    • Participate in the full life cycle of hardware development including requirements development, modeling and simulation, hardware design, system integration, and testing/troubleshooting
    • Apply theoretical knowledge and electrical engineering technical principles the planning, design, development, simulation and testing of electrical circuits for use in military applications.
    • Develops specifications for and performs selection of components for use in electrical circuits for military applications
    • Prepare and present preliminary, critical and test readiness reviews in support of programs.Basic Qualifications:
      • For a Principal Level (3): 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field; OR 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
      • For a Senior Principal Level (4): 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field; OR 7 years of relevant experience with a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
      • Experience designing, integrating, and/or testing hardware
      • Ability todiagnose, troubleshoot, and repairhardware components
      • Able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance per business requirements. US Citizenship is a requirement.
      • Must be able to work on location in Warner Robins, GAPreferred Qualifications:
        • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a product development team to understand system level interdependencies that impact circuit requirements and design constraints.
        • Active learner of new design techniques and technologies.
        • Experience modeling digital signal processing in Matlab and Simulink
        • Experience developing and troubleshooting RF systems
        • Experience with systems that integrate RF hardware with digital signal processing in FPGAs
        • Experience with custom, high speed interfaces
        • Experience with Air Force customers and aerospace industry and military standards Salary Range: $87,600 USD - $131,400 USD Salary Range 2: $108,600 USD - $163,000 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
