Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a highly qualified, mission oriented Aircraft Maintenance Manager to manage a high visibility repair contract proposal and execution effort. The successful candidate will direct all aspects of the program associated with planning, implementation, contracting of change proposals, and execution of the program across Integrated Product Teams and functions. The successful candidate will interact with the customer, subcontractors, and other stakeholders as the focal point for repair activities, as well as, manage risks and opportunities to ensure timely execution of efforts to support the Global Operations and Fleet Readiness Business Area. This position will be located in Warner Robins, GA. The primary objective will be to provide leadership to a multi-disciplinary team to accomplish aircraft modifications on a local Air Force Base and to meet all contractual requirement on cost and on schedule, while achieving all technical requirements. This position will include site standup including procurement of new tooling, peculiar support equipment (PSE) and leading a team of aircraft maintainers and avionics specialists on site. The successful Aircraft Maintenance Manager is responsible for coordination and management of all phases of execution of the contract, from inception (proposal development), site standup on Base, all major aircraft modifications through completion (contract closeout). Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: --- Adherence to all internal processes for Program Management. --- Direct the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas. --- Development and adherence to Integrated Master Schedules (IMS). --- Development and adherence to budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies and tools. --- Coordination of Contract Change Board activities internally and with the customer, to include Engineering Change Proposals (ECP). --- Government Property (GFE, CFE, PSE etc.) tracking and management. --- Development and delivery of presentations to customers, management, and other program stakeholders. --- Proposal development / capture planning and strategy. --- Creation, review and finalization of the program Statement of Work. --- Development of customer relationships and cultivation of customer intimacy. --- Ability to communicate daily with internal and external customers; including frequent interaction with manufacturing, Contractor Field Team, Air Force AMU, and Test Team. --- Oversight of Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) for aircraft selloff --- Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions. --- Ability to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result. ASMGMT Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: * AA Technical Degree from accredited Academic Institution and at least 5 years of supervisory experience * At least 1 year of experience in a technical program/project manager, engineering program manager, Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead or similar leadership role with responsibilities for requirements, cost, schedule and technical performance of a project. * Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of management and individual contributors. * Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, and achieving all requirements as either manager, project lead, integrated program team lead, control account manager, or similar role. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in Avionics, Manufacturing and Aircraft Maintenance * Understanding of DoD/FAA requirements for aviation * Certifications for aircraft maintenance required * Understanding of engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics * Secret Clearance. Preferred Qualifications: * (Highly Preferred) STEM Degree (Bachelors or Masters) * Experience with Global Hawk Unmanned Aerial System. * Experience with Global Hawk specific aircraft and avionics maintenance * Understanding of DoD/FAA requirements for aviation Global Hawk Program/ Unmanned Systems Experience * Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience. * Experience in proposal management and responding to requests for proposal. * Ability to communicate daily with internal and external customers; including frequent interaction with the manufacturing department. * Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions. * Ability to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result. * Demonstrated success aligning teams, organizations or employee resource groups to achieve a common goal. * The ability to apply knowledge, insights and understanding of business and financial concepts, tools and processes to the benefit of program decisions, actions, and performance. * The ability to identify and address program impacts through a systematic, proactive, approach to issue and problem resolution that identifies, communicates, monitors, and promptly resolves conflicts across all levels of the program. * Experience using Microsoft Project or similar software to manage complex, multi-year contracts.
