Seeking to Hire Part time clinicians in the Warner Robins, GA area and Houston County (Mornings/Days preferred).

Mission/Role: Serve as clinical lead in providing community-based, face-to-face clinical assessment, rapid response to children and adults with behavioral health conditions, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in an active state of crisis. This service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. MCRS is provided in community settings including, but not limited to: homes, residential settings, other treatment/support settings, schools, hospital emergency departments, jails, and social service settings. Daily driving is required, and employees must provide their own transportation.

Responsibilities:

Serve as lead in MCRS response providing clinical expertise to MCRS team.
Ensure that Individuals provide informed consent when possible or that clinical rationale is clear if such consent is not obtainable.
Assess immediate needs of Individuals in crisis. This includes determining the level of risk and consideration of all available risk factors and resources that may contribute positively or negatively to the Individual's crisis and their ability to develop and follow a safety plan or other plan of care.
Consider all available natural supports and resources in order to develop an effective and practical intervention plan for Individuals in crisis.
Assist in deescalating crisis situations through the provision of support to the individual.
Assist the Individual and, when present, family/caregivers in identifying precursors to the crisis and potential solutions to resolve the crisis within the setting.
Assist the Individual and, when present, family/caregivers in developing a safety plan that provides strategies that can be used in the event of future crises.
Identify and, when possible, link the individual to needed community resources, including medical, psychiatric, autism, and other services, including but not limited to DBHDD services required to meet immediate and/or ongoing needs.
Explore existing crisis or behavior plans (including WRAP). Provide feedback about how the plan may be incorporated into self-care or encourage follow-up with provider to revise the plan.
Assess when immediate safety needs of the individual require referral to a higher level of care than is available through mobile crisis services and facilitate the referral.
Initiate 1013/2013 as needed.
Arrange for transportation to emergency and crisis facilities (ERs, CSUs, BHCCs, IDD/ASD-specific IDD crisis homes) when indicated based upon the needs of the Individual.
Provide brief behavioral health and/or intellectual and developmental disability interventions focused on de-escalation and linkage to appropriate level of care.
Complete appropriate and required documentation.
To support service linkage, follow-up as needed in accordance with established guidelines and standards.
Communicate and coordinate care with other team members, ensuring the safety of the team, Individuals, and the general public. Support an interdisciplinary approach to crisis intervention that considers perspectives of others on the team.
Escalate concerns to supervisor or other MCRS leadership when unable to resolve situations effectively and independently.
Respond to dispatches and arrive on site in compliance with contract deliverable.
Maintain current and unrestricted clinical license in the state of Georgia and adhere to the professional Code of Ethics.
In accordance with BHL Safe Driving policy (HR 34), maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license
Requirements:

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

--- Minimum one to two years' clinical experience.

--- Experience in assessment, crisis intervention and stabilization skills and familiarity with the mental health, addictive disease, and Intellectual or Developmental disability service delivery system is preferred.

Education & Credentials

Master's degree from an accredited school with a valid license in the state of Georgia as an LCSW, LMFT, or an LPC (must be legally authorized with the ability to complete form 1013 or 2013).

Some other licenses may be granted a waiver from DBHDD to work this position. These licenses include RN, LAPC, LAMFT, and LMSW. DBHDD waivers are granted on a case-by-case basis specific to individual staff members, and they are temporary exceptions to contract language. Staff with one of these licenses working under a waiver agreement will be reassigned to a Second Responder position at any time the waiver agreement expires and is not renewed.

Travel Requirements

--- This is a 100% mobile response position that requires a valid, unrestricted driver's license.

--- First responders must be able to drive in a car for the duration of their assigned shift, if necessary.

--- First responders must be able to drive at any time of day or night, and do so safely and without restriction for length, duration or condition of the drive.

--- At times, driving in heavy traffic or other adverse weather conditions may be required.

Physical Requirements

This job requires employees to respond to mobile dispatches throughout the shift, via their own personal vehicle. The position requires frequent in person interaction. The ability to stand, walk, drive, speak and move freely are required. The position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers - including virtual meeting software and various communications applications and smart phones. Bending, lifting, and manipulating objects up to 25 lbs. may be occasionally required. Ability to drive, stand, or walk for up to 8+ hours a day outdoors is required.
