Systems Engineer to join our team. This position will be located in
Warner Robins, Georgia. Our team in Warner Robins is a world class
provider in modernization and sustainment capabilities for mission
and weapon systems. What you'll get to do: The selected candidate
will provide system engineering oversight for a significant portion
of a C-130 Avionic Cockpit Upgrade Program that leverages and
adapts an existing design. Your responsibilities also include:
- Work with program management, customers, and suppliers to
ensure the program is successful and support new business
initiatives
- Provide oversight of a major sub-contractor with respect to
their performance against a supplier statement of work and
artifacts delivered
- Be a technical face to the customer, ensuring clear
communications, and managing technical expectation with the
customer and end-user
- Develop cost estimates, create and monitor team's performance
against detailed tasking and schedules, identify risks and
opportunities, identify technical performance metrics
- Work closely with the program manager and key suppliers to
ensure technical solutions are delivered
- Provide technical expertise for C-130 and avionics Basic
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in an engineering discipline with
14+ years of engineering experience; OR Master's Degree in a STEM
discipline with 12+ years of engineering experience
- 5+ years of design experience with avionics and/or aircraft
modification work
- 3+ years of project management / IPT leadership
- 3+ years experience performing the d evelopment, review &
approval of various aircraft Avionics / Electrical and/or
Electronic System Modifications
- Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication
skills along with proven success working in an integrated product
team environment and developing customer relationships.
- Experience in developing detailed integrated schedules and risk
identification and management
- Experience in requirements management and verification &
validation.
- This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen and
the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret (or higher)
clearance. Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience working with C-130s
- Experience managing major sub-contractor/supplier
- Experience with aircraft ground test and flight test
- Experience leading the development of Airworthiness plans,
Certifications, and related activities
- System Safety Risk Assessments (SSRA), program risks and hazard
analyses
- Familiarity of European Military Aviation Regulations
(EMARs)
- Control Account Management (CAM) and Earned Value Management
System (EVMS) experience Salary Range: $134,700 USD - $202,100 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to
base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
