Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for a Sr. Staff Systems Engineer to join our team. This position will be located in Warner Robins, Georgia. Our team in Warner Robins is a world class provider in modernization and sustainment capabilities for mission and weapon systems.What you'll get to do:The selected candidate will be the lead product engineer for our APN-241 Radar Product Line.Your responsibilities also include:

• Support program initiatives, technology roadmap creation, and champion continuous process improvements
• Long Range Strategy - Work with program management, customers, and suppliers to ensure the product line is sustained for the future
• Develop cost estimates, create, and monitor team's performance against detailed tasking and schedules, identify risks and opportunities, identify technical performance metrics
• Work closely with the program engineering lead overseeing production and repair efforts
• Provide project and technical oversight of all activities performed by the group
• Provide technical expertise for radar and system sustainmentBasic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's of Science Degree in an engineering discipline with 20+ years of engineering experience; OR Master's Degree in a STEM discipline with 18+ years of engineering experience
  • 10+ years of design experience for electronic systems with breadth of experience including hardware design, digital design, software design, and test solution design
  • 8+ years of project management / IPT leadership / cost account management experience.
  • 8+ years experience with radar system design and sustainment
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication skills along with proven success working in an integrated product team environment and developing customer relationships.
  • Experience in cost estimation, cost account management, developing detailed integrated schedules, risk identification and management, earned value management, and proposals
  • Experience in requirements development, analysis, decomposition, and verification & validation.
  • This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret (or higher) clearance.Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with implementing and testing radar modes and radar signal processing techniques
    • Experience in systems thinking, requirements development, analysis, decomposition, and verification & validation.MissionSE
      
      Salary Range: $149,700 USD - $224,500 USD
      
      Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
