Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Manager for Operations, Business Planning and Integration who will focus on the development, integration and delivery of business unit level operations data, information, and products supporting enterprise-wide reporting requirements.Responsibilities include:
    • Overall status and reporting cadence for the business unit in support of the Business Unit Vice President for Systems, Sustainment & Software.
    • This position often receives delegation of authority to lead business unit activities when the Business Unit Vice President is on travel.
    • The position will provide assessment and tracking of issues and development of resolutions to meet operational objectives.
    • The position develops mechanisms for monitoring operational progress across the business unit, integrates inputs from operating units and functional teams, plans and coordinates business reviews, creates resource allocations, and performance analysis.
    • The position recommends financial and non-financial strategic objectives and alternatives, implements and maintains operational plans, and supports acquisition planning and proposals.
    • This position will also manage the Non-Contract Technical Activities (NCTA) budget, which includes B&P, M&S, and IR&D budgets for the business unit.
    • The candidate selected for this position should be ready for a high visibility and highly challenging environment.Additional responsibilities include:
      • Provides consistent guidance and clarity for operational priorities and activities
      • Assesses and consolidates operational progress, status, and metrics through communication with the business unit leadership team, and communicates status throughout the team as appropriate
      • Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies challenges and recommends solutions
      • Engages in the preparation of meetings, proposals, business plans, performance work statements, program risk management process, operating budgets and engagement activities
      • Briefs Northrop Grumman leadership and internal customers regarding operational performance and status
      • Works with functional organizations to ensure collaboration
      • Collaborates with the Division and other BU operations teams
      • Manage monthly program assessments, coordination, and reviews
      • Provides excellent interpersonal, leadership, communication, and organizational skills and professional development and mentoring skills
      • Other duties as assigned
      • Some travel is requiredQualificationsBasic Qualifications:
        • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of directly related work experience; or an additional 4 years of work experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree (i.e. 14 years of relevant work experience).
        • Proven capability to work across cross-functional teams, a high level of confidence, integrity and hands on approach to problem solving are required as well as experience in interacting with technical leads, senior management and executives internal to the company.
        • Knowledge of Northrop Grumman capabilities, products, and services.
        • Knowledge of Northrop Grumman processes and operating procedures.
        • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as analytical, planning, and presentation skills are required.
        • Demonstrated ability to create ad-hoc analysis
        • Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret level security clearance
        • Must be willing and able to travel (up to 10%)Preferred Qualifications:
          • Bachelor's Degree
          • Experience with Systems Sustainment and Software is a plus
          • Program management experience
          • Proposal planning, strategy, and support experienceSalary Range: 130300 - 195500Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
