NGAS is currently seeking a Sr.Liaison/Material Review Board Engineer to assist with the disposition of flight line and forward operating position discrepant material tags for an active fleet. Candidate should have experience with designing repairs for discrepant detail parts and assemblies fabricated from metallic materials, specifically on aging aircraft. Task will include: dispositioning of discrepant material tags, interfacing with stakeholder groups such as Structural Analysis, Materials & Processing, and Manufacturing personnel and the DoD customer. Strong communication and collaboration skills are a must. Ability to understand and interpret 2D detail part and assembly drawings is a must.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 9 years in design, fabrication, and/or repair of metallic airframe structures or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 7 years of experience in design, fabrication, and/or repair of metallic airframe structures or a PHD with 4 years in design, fabrication, and/or repair of metallic airframe structuresMust have a working knowledge of Boeing AircraftThis position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret or interim ClearancePreferred Qualifications:BS or MS, Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.Hands on experience in aircraft manufacturing facility or repair depot.Experience with repair and maintenance of aging aircraft fleet aircraft..Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to collaborate in a team environment.Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplishing them simultaneously.Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions.Experience with military specs and standards.Experience interfacing with a military customer.Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
