Job Description Job Description Onsite Stone Mountain/Decatur Area $20–25 per hour, depending on experience A well-established manufacturing organization in the Stone Mountain / Decatur area is seeking a hands-on QA Inspector to support day-to-day quality assurance activities in a production environment. This is an onsite role ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, consistency, and building quality into the process rather than inspecting it at the end. Position Overview The QA Inspector works under direct supervision to ensure quality standards are met across manufacturing and purchased components. This role plays a critical part in monitoring production processes, performing inspections, and supporting adherence to the Quality Management System. Key Responsibilities Perform visual and dimensional inspections of manufactured and purchased parts to verify conformance to internal requirements and customer specifications Conduct functional testing using appropriate measuring and testing equipment Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications Support and follow established Quality Management System processes Perform process audits to ensure adherence to work instructions Conduct dock audits to confirm proper shipping and packaging standards Accurately record inspection and audit data into quality databases Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all safety policies and procedures Key Performance Expectations Apply prior experience or training to complete quality tasks accurately and consistently Follow standard operating procedures and document results clearly Demonstrate attention to detail and basic analytical thinking Work collaboratively with production and quality team members Use tools and equipment safely and properly Complete assignments on time and with minimal rework Qualifications and Experience High school diploma required Degree in engineering or a technical field is a plus Prior experience in a quality or inspection role preferred Experience in an ISO 9001 environment preferred Familiarity with Quality Management Systems is a plus Ability to read simple blueprints and specifications Ability to use calibrated gauges, tools, and fixtures Basic mechanical and math aptitude Basic computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Clear written and verbal communication skills Physical Requirements and Work Environment Work performed in a manufacturing or shop environment Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and sitting Frequent lifting up to 30 pounds Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance Regular exposure to noise typical of a production setting Compensation $20–25 per hour, depending on experience Full-time, on-site position
