Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Occupational Therapist - Discipline: Therapy - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Days, 5x8hrs - Hours: 40 hrs/wk - Start Date: Mar 30, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 2 years of acute care experience for a 13-week assignment at a hospital OT department in Georgia, supporting a wide variety of medical and surgical patients. Details - Acute care OT department within a hospital setting - Supports patients across the hospital based on physician orders, including ICU, stroke/neurological, orthopedic, and general debility cases - 8-hour day shifts, 8:30am–5:00pm, schedule may vary - 5 shifts per week - EMR: Cerner (OneChart) Requirements - Active Georgia OT license required (license required if applicable) - Minimum 2 years of experience in occupational therapy, specifically within acute care - Current AHA BLS certification required - Driver's License required for consideration Additional Information - Provide occupational therapy services to acute care patients across a broad range of medical and surgical diagnoses - Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible - Former permanent staff returning as travelers must have a 2-year break before being considered - Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront — requests cannot be made after an offer is extended - AHA certifications submitted must be current and unexpired American Traveler Job ID P-679427.
