Job Description Job Description Job Title: Medical Technologist (Blood Bank) – Travel Location: Lawrenceville, GA 30046 Position Type: Travel Contract Contract Length: 13 Weeks Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per Week Shift & Schedule Shift: 8-Hour Night Shift Schedule: Sunday–Thursday | 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM Weekend Rotation: Required Compensation Gross Weekly Pay: $1,780/week W2 Hourly Rate: $18/hour Weekly Stipend: $1,106/week Local Pay Rate: $40/hour (for candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility) Position Summary A reputable healthcare facility in Lawrenceville, GA is seeking a skilled Medical Technologist (Blood Bank) for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in blood banking and transfusion services, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment. Key Responsibilities Perform blood bank testing including compatibility testing, crossmatching, antibody identification, and transfusion services Conduct routine and complex laboratory testing according to established protocols Ensure accuracy and integrity of test results and documentation Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and laboratory quality controls Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff regarding laboratory findings Participate in quality assurance and process improvement initiatives Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent experience within blood bank specialty Active certification in one of the following: ASCP NCA AMT AAB HHS Experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred For more details reach at ukhan@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 518-862-1204.
