Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Albany, GA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,056 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 17 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Albany, Georgia, 31701! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Stepdown Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years in Stepdown in an acute care setting required License: Required Certifications: BLS ACLS NIHSS Must-Have: Strict 75-mile radius rule. Must have the ability to read and interpret strips. Must be comfortable floating to the ICU if necessary. Ability to pull pacer wires is preferred. Description: This position is within a Progressive Care Unit Stepdown. The unit has a nurse aide ratio of 1 to 10. There are 44 beds in total, with 8 semi-private rooms. Charge Nurse/Clinical Supervisor oversees operations. Every other weekend is required. Unit specifics include telemetry services. Patients may have a variety of cardiac diagnoses and procedures. Common diagnoses include CABG, cardiovascular surgeries, and heart failure. The average census is 32-38 patients with a fast turnover. Discharge and admission of 12-16 patients can occur on a busy day. The environment requires flexibility with holidays and weekend shifts. Dress code requires natural hair color, no fake nails, no facial piercings, and no visible tattoos.
