Job Description:

Georgia Hospice Care (GHC) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Director of Nursing to lead our nursing department, ensuring the highest quality of care and support to our terminal patients across various counties. The Director of Nursing will play a critical role in maintaining our commitment to compassionate, personalized end-of-life care, focusing on patient comfort and quality of life. This role involves oversight of nursing staff performance, compliance with healthcare regulations, and the implementation of effective patient-care programs. Oversee daily operations of the nursing department and personnel Ensure all patient care activities are compliant with regulatory requirements Develop and implement standards of care and oversee quality assurance activities Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans Manage staff scheduling, hiring, training, and evaluation Lead efforts to improve nursing practices based on patient feedback and latest research Ensure efficient allocation of resources to maximize quality of care Maintain communication with patients' families to provide updates and understand their wishes and expectations Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Profound knowledge of healthcare regulations and hospital management Ability to handle high-stress situations with professionalism Empathy and dedication to patient care Advanced problem-solving capabilities Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid RN license MSN preferred Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) certification desirable
