Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Must have a valid
nursing license Certifications: Must hold relevant nursing
certifications Must-Have: Must be available to work major holidays;
no holiday requests will be granted for the specified periods.
Description: General medical-surgical unit taking care of a
predominantly geriatric population. Patient diagnoses vary from day
to day. Expected to work every other weekend. No on-call
requirements. Floating may occur within the facility as needed
based on scope of practice. Compliance with all necessary
documentation is required to ensure timely start. If one or two
major holidays occur during the assignment, travelers are expected
to work them. For three major holidays during the assignment, the
traveler is expected to work two of those holidays. Major holidays
include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day,
Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New
Year's Eve/New Year's Day. Return travelers must complete one
successful assignment outside of previous facilities prior to
rebooking. Candidates must be ready to submit core items and
schedule necessary tests within 48 hours of signing the contract to
ensure an on-time start. Modules are non-billable and accounting
for hours will vary by specialty.
