Acquisition Program Manager

ABOUT THIS POSITION:

KBR is seeking an Acquisition Program Manager to join our team. This position supports the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Mobility and Training Aircraft Directorate, C-130 Hercules Division (AFLCMC/WLN). This is a full-time position located in Warner Robins, GA. The candidate must work well in a high-performance, fast-paced environment, and be assertive in capturing key inputs and data to incorporate into various products.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Developing ACAT II/III program documentation to support milestone decisions to include: statutory/regulatory documents, acquisition strategies, purchase request documents for contract awards
  • Establishing and defining program plan requirements and performing in-depth studies to determine optimum program plans
  • Proactively interfacing and coordinating with stakeholders on the development of plans
  • Monitoring and reporting performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met
  • Providing recommendations on the overall acquisition strategy, to include tailoring of milestone requirements and documentation
  • Applying policies, procedures and best practice processes to support customer
  • Facilitating collaboration among diverse civilian, military and contractor personnel and organizations to identify and resolve customer requests and inquiries

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management or equivalent experience
    • Contract requirements will prevail
    • Eight (8) years of experience in technical program planning and implementation, contract interpretation, budget development and administration of government projects
    • Knowledge of current USAF weapon system management processes, policies and procedures
    • C-130 or other similar fixed wing or military aircraft experience
    • Knowledge to perform funding related tasks in Comprehensive Cost and requirement (CCaR)
    • Strong computer skills to create documentation through Microsoft Office products, in addition to MS Project for schedules
    • Must be a self-starter with excellent communication skills to express ideas and opinions, dependable, detail oriented, and works well on a team
    • This position requires a SECRET clearance
