Job Title Network Engineer Job Description Cape Fox Federal Integrators (CFFI) is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support the RPA-SOC program.-- The Network Engineer (NE) is a subject matter expert (SME) that will serve as the primary enterprise communication technician supporting operations of critical real-time USAF/ANG mission operations.-- The NE must have a solid understanding of network technologies, protocols, and standards required to design, plan, implement, integrate, and sustain networks that support voice, data, video, and wireless network services for airborne and terrestrial information transport systems. The NE will also focus on sustainment of the network and telecommunication infrastructure, distribution media, cryptographic equipment and associated devices. The NE will employ skills required to identify, recon, and exploit vulnerabilities within a network environment to achieve desired effects. Support from the NE includes, but is not limited to, the communications and network systems architecture, video distribution and long-haul communications system, and enhancement support for the RPA-SOC enterprise. The NE will be assigned to Warner Robins, GA but must be available to travel to support new site or conversion installs. When not on site, the NE will provide reach-back support on an as-needed basis from Warner Robins. -- * Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining & documenting system standards. * Works with site CFSR & government personnel to maximize network performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; and collaborating with Program Integration Office (PIO) NE---s on network optimization. * Secures network systems by helping to establish policies. * Helps troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve software, hardware and other network and system problems. * Designs and plans implementations of new solutions as well as improving resilience of the current systems/network. * Helps design backup and disaster recovery procedures and scheduling for each site as required. * Designs, plans, implements, and supports configuration of firewalls and hosted IP voice services. * Designs, plans, and implements all enterprise network data electronic solutions, such as switches and routers. * Helps identify and resolve known security vulnerabilities on the network servers/systems. Ensures the integrity and security of the enterprise network. * Provides continuity between sites, and act as SMEs to provide site operational experience and expertise relative to operational use cases of equipment and software that is used within the RPA-SOC enterprise. * This includes but is not limited to working with all sites on patch distribution, collecting enterprise problems and documenting these site issues into a knowledge base. * Provides training to the PIO & Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Engineering Center (ISEC) personnel and should act as the focal point for submission of redlines to the RPA-SOC training syllabi specified within the CFSR contract (Appendix A). * Provide expertise and operational knowledge in support of PIO and ISEC projects. * Provide support in works accomplished both in the field (at sites), lab, and at the local PROTEC facility. Travel 20 - 30% Shift Type Job Type Full-time Date Needed By Salary Grade Job Requirements Bachelor---s degree in Information Technology field. An active TS clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI is required. CompTIA Security+ certification is required. CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE certification is required. MCSE & VCP 5/6 certifications desired. Experience with networks, long-haul communications, and systems administration is required. Advanced knowledge in how critical Full Motion Video (FMV) systems (encoders and hardware) generate and deliver data through existing Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM), Multi-service Provider Platform (MSPP), Router, and other Optical Carrier (OC) based networks is desired.-- Five years--- experience administering infrastructure support to mainframe and or client server systems and/or DOD systems is required. Five years--- experience on any one or more of these systems; SAN Storage, Server Blade, VMWare, SQL, SharePoint, C2ISR video data, network performance software, or ATM equipment configuration and ATM network troubleshooting is required.
