of their benefit package. Position Summary As a Process Engineering
Intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers to analyze,
improve, and document manufacturing processes. You’ll gain hands-on
exposure to automotive production systems, lean manufacturing
tools, and real-world problem-solving in a fast-paced plant
environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with time studies, process
mapping, and workflow analysis to identify bottlenecks and
efficiency opportunities. Support implementation of lean
manufacturing initiatives such as 5S, kaizen events, standard work,
and waste reduction projects. Collect, analyze, and report
production data related to cycle times, scrap, equipment
performance, and labor efficiency. Help develop or update process
documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
(SOPs). Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis
(RCA) for quality or process issues. Collaborate with production,
quality, and maintenance teams to support engineering trials and
process validations. Assist with design, testing, and
implementation of fixtures, tools, or process layouts (if
applicable). Maintain safe work practices and adhere to all plant
safety policies. Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s
degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering,
Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Basic understanding
of manufacturing processes, lean principles, or industrial systems
(coursework acceptable). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and
organizational skills. Proficient with Microsoft Excel; exposure to
CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) is a plus. Strong
communication skills and ability to work effectively with
cross-functional teams. Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn
in a hands-on environment.
