Job Description:
At GXO Logistics, a global leader in contract logistics, we are
seeking a skilled Senior Industrial Engineer to join our innovative
team. This role is pivotal in enhancing our logistics and
transportation solutions, utilizing cutting-edge technology to
drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness in our supply chains. The
ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial
engineering within the logistics sector, demonstrating an ability
to optimize warehouse layout, streamline operations, and implement
sustainable improvements. As part of our engineering department,
you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that
our operational frameworks align with GXO's strategic goals.
Analyze and improve warehouse operations using simulation models
and other industrial engineering tools. Design efficient systems
and processes to enhance material flow and reduce overall lead
times. Implement lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste
and increase productivity. Collaborate with IT specialists to
integrate automation and robotics into the supply chain. Lead
cross-functional teams in the deployment of new projects and
initiatives. Prepare technical reports and present findings to
senior management to aid in decision-making processes. Monitor
industry trends and technologies to keep GXO at the forefront of
logistics innovations. Proficiency in CAD and simulation software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent
communication and leadership abilities Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma
and Kaizen methodologies Experience with data analysis tools and
methodologies Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance 401k Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
