Job Description Job Description Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1 years
Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. An opportunity is available to provide specialized
support to a student in an elementary school setting within the
Atlanta area. This position requires expertise as a Teacher of the
Deaf or Hard of Hearing, delivering highly focused instruction
within a leave contract from mid-March to late May. Key
Responsibilities: Provide direct daily instruction and support to a
single student with hearing loss, ensuring communication access and
academic progress. Utilize American Sign Language (ASL) fluently to
meet the students language and learning needs. Collaborate with
school personnel and families to implement individualized education
plans (IEPs). Monitor student progress and adjust instructional
approaches accordingly. Maintain compliance with Georgia Department
of Education (GA DOE) standards and requirements. Qualifications:
Active Georgia DOE Certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education.
Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is mandatory. Experience
working with deaf or hard of hearing students, particularly at the
elementary level. Ability to work within a strict daily schedule
from 10:20 AM to 11:50 AM, Monday through Friday. Strong
communication skills and dedication to student development.
Details: Location: Atlanta area, Georgia. Duration: Leave contract
from March 17 to May 22. Hours: Approximately 7.5 to 10 hours per
week. Caseload: Individual student support. This role offers a
