Job Description Job Description We're seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to support plant operations and corporate reporting for one of our wonderful clients in Tucker, GA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a manufacturing environment, owns their day-to-day, and wants broad exposure to all plant accounting functions for coverage and growth. Key Responsibilities Core accounting: Prepare and post debits/credits; complete month-end close activities including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analyses. Inventory accounting: Track, analyze, and explain inventory variances ; participate in quarterly physical counts and related adjustments. Reporting: Support timely and accurate reporting to corporate; no direct SEC filings . Cross-training & coverage: Develop working knowledge of all plant accounting processes (e.g., cost/standard, fixed assets, AP/AR, payroll interfaces) to ensure coverage and continuity. Controls & compliance: Maintain organized workpapers, uphold internal controls , and assist with SOX/GAAP compliance as applicable. Continuous improvement: Identify process opportunities, drive efficiency in close cadence, and partner with operations to improve financial outcomes. Ad hoc support: Provide analysis and special projects requested by plant leadership and corporate finance. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Finance degrees considered with strong accounting coursework and relevant experience. Experience: 1-2 years typical for this salary range; open to more experienced candidates if within budget . Systems: Experience with SAP and/or BlackLine is a plus (not required). Excel: Intermediate to advanced skills (pivot tables, lookups, conditional formulas). Knowledge: Solid grasp of US GAAP , month-end close cycles, reconciliations, and inventory accounting.
